Firm Earns Top Marks for Workplace Best Practices, Career Development and DEI Strategies
NEW YORK, June 1, 2023 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, is delighted to announce that it has been named a 2023 Best Law Firm for Women & Diversity by Seramount. The annual survey recognizes forward-thinking law firms by measuring progress in recruiting, retaining and advancing women. Proskauer was recognized for its achievements in creating opportunities for women and underrepresented lawyers through its professional development programs and recruiting efforts.

This is the second year in a row in which Proskauer has been recognized as a Best Law Firm for Women by Seramount. The Firm received top marks for its DEI programming and talent development for women and diverse lawyers. Proskauer also received top marks in the family-friendly benefits and career flexibility categories.
Proskauer programs receiving high praise included:
- The CaRe Program, which allows lawyers to ease their transition back to full-time work from caregiver leave by returning on a 75 percent schedule while receiving 100 percent of their pre-leave compensation for six months.
- The Women’s Sponsorship Program, which selects mid- and senior-level lawyers and pairs them with distinguished partners who serve as sponsors to support their career development and professional growth.
- Proskauer Women’s Alliance (PWA), which is led by a steering committee of associates and senior counsel and advised by partners. Throughout the year, PWA hosts several professional development trainings and networking events to increase connectivity and career growth.
- Initiatives to raise the bar of the Firm’s DEI strategy and ensure that all voices are heard as well as training focused on inclusive hiring, mentoring and sponsorship across practice groups and inclusive leadership.

The recognition by Seramount follows a number of Firm awards for Proskauer. The Firm was recently named a Top Firm for Culture by Yale Law Women in its 17th annual Top Firms Report; recognized in Bloomberg Law’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Framework; and named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

Seramount’s 2023 Best Law Firms for Women & Diversity application includes more than 300 questions about attorney demographics at different levels, flexibility, paid time off and parental leaves, and development and retention of women and people of color as well as those from other underrepresented groups. Questions about family-friendly benefits and mentoring and sponsorship participation are also included.
Seramount will recognize the Best Law Firms for Women & Diversity at its WorkBeyond Summit’s Companies Gala Dinner in New York City on Oct. 18.
