January 16, 2018 (NEW YORK) – We recently hosted a comprehensive discussion regarding the state of veteran affairs both locally and nationally. Leading the discussion were guests Ray Toenniessen, associate vice president of strategic initiatives at the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF), and Eric Henry, general counsel for the Department of Veteran Services (DVS) in New York City.
The conversation included topics surrounding employment opportunities, benefits, discharge upgrades, military culture and how to best connect veterans with the services and resources that they need.
Ray Toenniessen is in charge of the cultivation and development of all new projects, programs and strategic initiatives for the IVMF. Eric Henry is responsible for developing legal advocacy strategies aimed at meeting the needs of veterans and their families in a number of key areas for DVS.
