NEW YORK, October 20, 2020 – Proskauer partner Edward Lee has been named one of this year’s Private Equity Rising Stars by Legal Week. This year’s Private Equity Rising Stars list serves to highlight the best of the up-and-coming talents within the U.K. and European legal industry after what has been a uniquely challenging year.

Edward Lee is a partner in the Private Funds Group. Edward advises fund managers and investors on the formation of a broad range of funds, including private equity, venture capital, debt, infrastructure, real estate, secondary and hedge funds.  He also advises on co-investments and both buyers and sellers in secondary transactions.  

The Legal Week selection process involved months of research into the world’s largest and most influential private equity firms to seek out recommendations before surveying a wide range of experienced partners for their views on who they rated. This is followed by research into the top U.K. and U.S. firms in the market, particularly the ones known for private equity work. Nominees are assessed on the following criteria: quality of their client base; scale, significance and complexity of their deals; their client feedback and general market reputation; the standing of their mentor; and any other examples of career success and innovation.
