October 3, 2018 (NEW YORK) – Recognized as East Coast power players in sports and media, Proskauer partners Lauren Boglivi and Rob Freeman have been named to Variety’s Dealmakers Elite New York. Variety featured Lauren and Rob for, among other things, their work on Discovery, Inc.’s 12-year, $2 billion alliance with the PGA tour creating an international, multi-platform home for golf that will include live coverage of all PGA TOUR tournaments and events.
Rob also was noted for representing distributor Altice USA in its ESPN licensing pact, along with other significant carriage deals. As co-head of Proskauer’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group, Rob regularly works on complex joint ventures and strategic alliances, M&A deals and major media rights agreements, as well as on content acquisition and distribution matters across platforms.
Lauren’s specialization in mergers & acquisitions and private equity was highlighted, as well as her work representing Empire City Casino in its $850 million pending sale to MGM International. Lauren’s transactional experience covers a wide range of industry sectors, with a focus in media, technology, intellectual property, entertainment and health care.
