PARIS, July 7, 2026 – Proskauer advised Forward Global, a leading strategic intelligence and risk management group, on its acquisition of TMG – Trident Media Group, a company specializing in the protection and monitoring of recorded audiovisual content, television broadcasts, and online streaming events.

The acquisition strengthens the group's technological and operational capabilities and positions Forward Global among the international leaders in the fight against content piracy, particularly IPTV piracy, which has become the industry's primary threat and an area in which TMG has developed significant expertise.

Forward Global already supports the vast majority of French companies in the audiovisual, music, publishing, and press industries, as well as sports leagues and Europe's leading broadcasters. The addition of TMG and its predominantly European and U.S.-based clients creates a clear French market leader. More importantly, the combination establishes a major international player, with the majority of the group's revenue now generated outside France. Already established in France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Tunisia, and Côte d'Ivoire, Forward Global is now expanding its presence in Asia with the opening of an office in Bangkok.

Forward Global also becomes a leading provider in the implementation of court-ordered and regulatory blocking measures targeting pirate services. The transaction comes at a pivotal time for the French sports industry, as TMG serves as the technical partner to the rights holders that initiated the very first IP address blocking actions carried out under the supervision of ARCOM (France's audiovisual and digital communications regulator), which are continuing throughout the FIFA World Cup. These groundbreaking enforcement actions in France are expected to serve as a model for future anti-piracy efforts.
