March 10, 2008 (New York, NY) - Proskauer Rose LLP, an international law firm with more than 750 lawyers worldwide, is proud to announce that Jon Oram, a partner in the firm's Sports Law Group, has been named to Street & Smith's SportsBusiness Journal's annual "Forty Under 40" list of top sports executives under the age of 40.
Mr. Oram, 34, has been a lawyer at Proskauer since 2000 and became a partner in 2007. Clients of the firm with which he has worked include professional sports teams and leagues in buying, selling and financing sports properties, league expansion, franchise relocation and stadium construction, as well as sponsorships, naming rights, licensing and television contracts. He was recently involved with representing the National Basketball Association in the formation of its new venture in China and its $253 million private placement, as well as the New Jersey Devils in connection with the development, construction and financing of the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
