Mr. Cummings, 37, focuses his practice on representing banks and other financial institutions and equity sponsors in leveraged finance transactions. He also has extensive experience in senior and subordinated debt, second lien loan and bond, and bridge and mezzanine loan financings. In 2005, he represented clients including k1 Ventures Ltd. XL Capital Insurance Inc., Ares and Jefferies, among others, in transactions totaling over $3.3 billion.

Mr. Cummings joined Proskauer in November 2004. He was previously a partner in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins LLP. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he received his LLM, and of the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, where he received his LLB.
In addition to his client work, Mr. Cummings is a frequent speaker and author, having written a number of articles in trade publications and journals around the world. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar of New York and the American Bar Association. In addition, he is qualified to practice law as a solicitor in England, Wales, and the Province of Ontario, Canada.
