One evening in February 2016, a group of volunteers from Proskauer’s Los Angeles office took to the kitchen to prepare and serve meals to 28 homeless veterans, in partnership with PATH Cooks. People Assisting The Homeless (PATH) is a nonprofit community organization working toward ending homelessness throughout L.A. and, ultimately, the United States. Proskauer’s volunteers served the meal at the Westside Center PATH facility, which focuses on aiding homeless veterans. Partner and military veteran Colleen Hart, and professional resources coordinator Rita Rausch organized the event, including the evening’s menu, which was also designed in its entirety by our L.A. volunteers.

Proskauer’s Ivania Munguia, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, brought along her 11-year-old son David to help, noting, “It’s always been very important to me to show my children how helping others can help change the world. My son was thrilled to be a part of this experience and has asked when we can volunteer again.”
