Ms. Bucher received the award for establishing, along with seven other lawyers in Proskauer's renowned personal planning department, a pro bono initiative that helps families with special needs prepare essential estate planning documents. Over the last year, Proskauer has assisted 30 families and plans to maintain the program at its current level.
Ms. Bucher devotes her practice to the area of wills, trusts and estates, concentrating in the areas of sophisticated estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax issues and estate and trust administration. She has also developed a niche in "relationship dissolution planning,' which includes the preparation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, elective share planning and working with clients and their matrimonial lawyers to ensure that assets are property titled and that separation agreements incorporate the appropriate provisions.
A fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, where she is a member of the Estate and Gift Tax and Asset Protection Committees, Ms. Bucher is Florida Board-Certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates.
