On October 26, 2016 the Asian Lawyer Affinity Group hosted a special event in New York in celebration of Diwali, the Festival of Lights. This tradition spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness and is a time to renew commitment to family, knowledge and happiness.

Attendees were brought into the spirit of the celebration as they walked in to see flickering lights by the windows. Then they enjoyed traditional Indian cuisine as they talked with colleagues and heard Corporate associate Kunal Dogra discuss the history of Diwali, its focus on renewing one’s commitment to family and togetherness, and why the holiday is important to him.
