December 11, 2017 (NEW YORK) – Litigation partner Michael Cardozo received the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) 2017 Human Relations Award at the ADL’s 23d Annual Human Relations Luncheon, held on December 6. Michael received the award based upon his ongoing dedication to public service and the public interest, most notably his 12 years as Corporation Counsel of the City of New York and prior service as President of the New York City Bar Association.
Prior recipients of the ADL Human Relations Award have included Proskauer partners Betsy Plevan and the late Edward Brodsky (the award’s first recipient).
Litigation partner Gregg Mashberg, a co-chair of the event, presented the award to Michael. The luncheon’s keynote speaker was Michael Signer, Mayor of Charlottesville, Virginia.
