September 23, 2019 (BOSTON) – Proskauer partner Fangli Chen, PhD was named Patent Strategy & Management Attorney of the Year in Massachusetts by LMG Life Sciences.

Vice chair of the Life Sciences Patent Practice, Fangli was recognized for her skilled legal work, business acumen and deep scientific expertise while representing clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Fangli is known for effectively transforming technological developments into valuable intellectual property assets for her clients.  Earlier this year, Fangli led the Firm’s successful representation of Translate Bio in obtaining an important U.S. patent before the USPTO to provide protection for its core platform technology in the mRNA Therapeutic field. Most recently, she led the Proskauer team in representing Sanofi Pasteur and SK Chemicals, successfully challenging the patentability of a Pfizer vaccine patent in the inter partes review proceeding before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
