April 26, 2017 (LOS ANGELES/NEW YORK) – Proskauer partners Anthony Oncidi and Charles Ortner have been named to The Hollywood Reporter’s 2017 list of Power Lawyers, which ranks the top 100 entertainment lawyers of the year.
The Hollywood Reporter notes that Anthony is “leading the charge for CAA in its ongoing agent-poaching legal battle with UTA, which could upend industry employment practices.” He is the head of Proskauer’s Labor & Employment practice in the Los Angeles office and represents employers and management in all aspects of labor relations and employment law, including litigation and preventive counseling and wage and hour matters.
Charles is recognized as the litigator for music stars Madonna and Lady Gaga and is noted as “the guy who has been most involved in the crackdown on Grammys ticket scalping.” He is also cited for representing the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences in establishing three Grammy museums in China. Charles is serving on the board of the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts for his second six-year term.
