Rattner was named Tax Lawyer of the Year by Euromoney’s 2023 Women in Business Law awards. This award recognizes Andrea’s work over the past year, as well as her unwavering advocacy, influence and thought leadership in relation to the promotion of women in the practice of law.
Andrea, a member of the Firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group, has more than 35 years of experience on a broad range of executive compensation and employee benefit matters, representing clients in an array of industries on an ongoing advisory basis and in the context of corporate transactions and other transformative and unique situations.
Andrea was recognized for her work leading the executive compensation, employee benefits and human capital aspects of Church & Dwight Co., Inc.’s acquisitions of the Hero Mighty Patch® brand and other acne treatment products for $630 million, and of the TheraBreath brand for $580 million, and Consolidated Edison, Inc.’s sale of Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses, Inc. to RWE Renewables Americas, LLC for $6.8 billion. She was also recognized for compensation and benefits matters for clients Henry Schein, Inc., Grifols, Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. and Morgan Stanley.
Andrea is a founder and co-chair of Proskauer’s Women Sponsorship Program (WSP), which supports women lawyers at various stages in their careers by going beyond traditional mentoring. In addition to fostering sponsorship, the WSP involves the creation and execution of customized attorney development plans and workshops on branding, business development, relationship building, executive presence, ownership mindset and leadership. Her advocacy and influence are further demonstrated by her current service on Proskauer’s Diversity Task Force and prior service as a two-term member of the Firm’s Executive Committee, as past chair of the Tax Department, and as a member of various Firm committees.
She has also been recognized for her thought leadership, which includes her work as co-editor and chapter author of the leading treatise, Executive Compensation, Law Journal Press (last updated 2023).
