Mikey Kwon is a technology specialist in the Litigation Department and a member of the Patents Group. He works with life sciences and pharmaceutical clients on domestic and foreign patent preparation, prosecution, patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses, and IP diligence.
Mikey was previously a Science Advisor at another Boston firm, where he worked on patent prosecution and due diligence matters. Mikey received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Duke University, where he developed C-H functionalization reactions mediated by dual photoredox and transition-mental catalysts and novel scaffolds that bind to non-coding RNAs using machine learning.
Mikey received his B.A. in Chemical Biology and a minor in French from CUNY Baruch College, where he conducted research in thermally activated quantum tunneling in organic reactions and mechanistic studies related to singlet oxygen.
