Kayla Ghasemi is an associate in the Corporate Department and is a member of the Private Credit & Leveraged Finance Group. Kayla focuses her practice on banking and finance matters, with experience across leveraged finance and private credit transactions. She represents private credit funds and other direct lenders, as well as investment banks, institutional investors, commercial banks and corporations in a broad range of financing transactions.
Kayla has experience advising on acquisition financings, leveraged buyouts, refinancings, recapitalizations, restructurings, going-private transactions, bridge lending and loan commitments. She regularly assists in structuring, negotiating and documenting syndicated and privately negotiated credit facilities, including unitranche, first lien and second lien financings, as well as asset-based and other complex financing arrangements.
During law school, she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Sandra R. Klein of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California and externed with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Tax Division.
