WASHINGTON, D.C., September 2, 2026 – Proskauer is pleased to welcome Jaime Santos, a nationally recognized trial and appellate lawyer, as a partner in its Compensation & Benefits Practice and Litigation Department in Washington, D.C. Jaime will co-head the Firm’s Compensation & Benefits Litigation Practice with Russell Hirschhorn, adding scale to a team advising employers on emerging challenges to compensation and benefit programs.

Jaime focuses on complex compensation and benefits disputes, appellate matters, and high-stakes civil litigation in federal courts. She has defended employers in class actions challenging 401(k) plans and group health plans and has been at the forefront of emerging areas of benefits litigation. Her broader practice encompasses patent disputes, constitutional law, and product litigation. She has argued before the Supreme Court and federal and state courts of appeals across the United States.

Jaime joins Proskauer’s Litigation Department, further enhancing its Appellate Practice Group. The team has earned multiple wins in 2026, including a unanimous victory at the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the Trustees of the IAM National Pension fund in an important ERISA case.
