PARIS, September 1, 2026 – Proskauer advised Lauxera Capital Partners on its investment in Bridge to Life as part of a $110 million financing transaction comprising a Series C capital raise and debt financing.
A leading player in the field of organ preservation and perfusion, Bridge to Life develops technologies aimed at increasing the number of organs available for transplantation and improving patient outcomes. In January 2026, its VitaSmart™ HOPE (Hypothermic Oxygenated Perfusion) system received De Novo authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, becoming the first and only device of its kind authorized in the United States for liver transplantation.
The funds raised will enable Bridge to Life to accelerate the commercial rollout of VitaSmart™ to U.S. transplant centers, continue developing its product portfolio, and strengthen its global operations. Specifically, the funds will finance the development of an organ viability assessment tool and the expansion of its preservation and perfusion technologies to other organs.
A portion of the funds was also used to refinance the credit facility provided by Perceptive Credit Funds, allowing Bridge to Life to reduce its debt and financing costs.
Proskauer advised Lauxera Capital Partners with a team led by partner Matthieu Grollemund and included Gautier Valdiguié (Private Equity M&A) and Romane Da Cunha (Private Equity M&A). The team also included partner Grant Darwin and associate Mark Kim (M&A); partner Gwenaël Kropfinger and associate Corentin Traxel (Tax), along with Richard Corn and Maria Fetzer (Tax)
