Gilson Expands Firm’s Insurance-Linked Capabilities and Continues Growth of its Structured Credit Platform
NEW YORK, August 4, 2025 – Proskauer announced today that Blake Gilson has joined the Firm as a partner in its Structured Credit Group, based in New York.
Blake brings deep experience in structured finance insurance solutions, including rated note feeders, collateralized fund obligations (CFOs), and other vehicles that channel insurance capital into private fund strategies. His practice spans the structuring of hybrid vehicles that combine elements of collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and rated note feeders, the development of multi-tranche CFOs for both sponsors and insurance investors, and the negotiation of large-scale warehouse facilities supporting private credit platforms.

Blake and Matthew Kerfoot will lead Proskauer’s market leading structured finance insurance solutions practice. Blake will also collaborate with Proskauer’s growing CLO practice to support clients across the structured credit lifecycle.
