LONDON, February 3, 2026 – Duncan Evans and Nick Rose have named to Financial New’s inaugural Pride of Finance Rising Stars list. The list highlights talented young professionals from the LGBTQIA+ community working in financial, legal and professional services sectors.
Duncan’s practice spans GP-led and LP-led secondaries, continuation funds, tender offers, preferred equity financings, collateralised fund obligations (CFOs), and other bespoke structured liquidity solutions. He is widely recognised for his ability to navigate novel transaction structures, respond to evolving market dynamics, and deliver commercial solutions in high-stakes, time-sensitive situations.
In addition to his market-leading secondaries practice, Duncan advises fund sponsors on all aspects of their business, including fund structuring, establishment, fundraising, and ongoing operations, as well as the design of carried interest and co-investment arrangements. He also represents a broad range of institutional investors on primary fund commitments and co-investment structures.
Duncan was named one of Private Equity International’s and Secondaries Investor’s Next Gen Leaders of Secondaries: Class of 2025, recognising his technical excellence, market influence, and leadership potential in one of the fastest-growing areas of private capital.
Nick advises private capital sponsors and investors on a range of matters including the establishment and structuring of private funds, continuation funds, lead investor mandates, internal arrangements, governance and fund maintenance, and traditional and non-traditional secondary transactions.
Nick has a particular focus on European upper mid-market fundraises and secondary transactions, having advised several sponsors and investors on multiple innovative and successful fundraises and transactions in recent years, including notably leading the continued growth of the firm’s Nordic practice.
As well as being a key member of the firm’s internal diversity efforts and being a mentor to more junior lawyers, he is also leading Proskauer’s efforts to bring together and create networks of LGBTQ+ lawyers, clients, commercial advisors and other professionals from both the sponsor and investor sides of the private equity industry to foster greater collaboration and create a stronger sense of community. Prior to becoming a partner, Nick initiated the firm’s annual Pride event for clients.
