Fabio A. Yamada

Fábio Yamada is a Co-Head of the Latin America Practice Group and partner of the Private Funds Group.

Fábio advises Latin America asset managers on a broad range of matters, including fund formations, co-investments, secondaries and fund operations.  His diversified experience includes private equity, growth equity, venture capital, real assets, special situations and infrastructure funds.

Fábio and the Private Funds Group represent prominent Latin American fund managers, including Pátria, Vinci, Lumina, Prisma and GLP/Ares, among others.

Fábio is a member of the Regulatory and the International Investors committees of the Brazilian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (ABVCAP) and a frequent lecturer in its educational initiatives.Fábio also has extensive experience in capital markets, banking, mergers and acquisitions, securitization and debt restructuring transactions.

Prior to joining Proskauer, Fábio worked as an international lawyer at another prominent New York law firm. While in Brazil, he worked at the law firm of Machado Meyer Advogados and at the legal departments of three international banks. In addition, Fábio was an invited member of the Legal Committee of the Brazilian Association of International Banks.
