Camille Higonnet is a partner in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Funds Group.
Camille concentrates in the areas of corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on representing private investment fund sponsors in structuring funds and portfolio investment activities, as well as regulatory and compliance matters. Camille’s practice includes advising on marketing and fundraising as well as key trends in fund terms, conducting negotiations with investors, and advising on ongoing operational issues.
In addition, Camille represents both U.S. and non-U.S. institutional investors in their investments in private investment funds, as well as in connection with secondary market activities, including traditional portfolio sales, structured secondaries, synthetic secondaries and fund restructurings.
Recognized for her leadership, innovative practice approach and expertise in representing private investment fund sponsors, Camille was named to PEl’s inaugural 40 Under 40: Future Leaders of Private Equity list. Camille is also co-chair of Proskauer’s Diversity Task Force and she is actively involved in Proskauer's Women's Sponsorship Program, as well as in Proskauer’s Diverse Lawyer Mentoring Circle Program (MCP).
Camille spent two years on secondment at the firm’s London office.

- Adams Street Partners on the formation of its funds and other matters, including primary investments, co-investments and secondary transactions. Established in 1972, Adams Street Partners manages $41 billion in assets across a broad spectrum of private markets strategies globally.
- Mesirow Financial Private Equity in structuring its fund of funds program and in the program’s underlying investments. Mesirow is a global financial services firm with expertise in investment, risk management and advisory services.
- L Catterton on structuring certain of its funds. L Catterton focuses on middle market investments across all segments of the consumer industry.
- Newbury Partners in structuring its funds and in its secondary investments. Newbury Partners specializes in acquiring buyout, venture capital and mezzanine partnership interests in the secondary market.
- Resource Capital Funds (RCF) in structuring its funds and ongoing fund matters. RCF focuses on development and growth stage mining companies across a diversified range of commodities.
- Scale Venture Partners on the structuring and formation of its venture capital funds, and ongoing fund matters. Scale invests in early-in-revenue technology companies poised for rapid growth which primarily focuses on internet, cloud computing, software as a service and mobile products industries.
