Austin D. McLeod is an associate in the Labor & Employment Department. He represents a diverse range of clients across industries, including professional sports, food & beverage, real estate, health care, and finance, among others. He is currently on client secondment.
As part of his employment litigation practice, Austin has assisted in defending against single-plaintiff lawsuits and collective actions. Austin advises clients in all aspects of labor-management relations, including collective bargaining, arbitration, matters before the National Labor Relations Board and related litigation. Additionally, Austin has assisted clients in workplace investigations, updating workplace policies and handbooks and providing general advice and counsel on compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
Austin also maintains a pro bono practice, representing tenants in obtaining housing repairs and providing general advice and counsel to non-profits on labor and employment issues.
Prior to joining Proskauer, Austin interned at the PGA TOUR and worked at a major financial services company as a litigation paralegal and then an executive compensation analyst. During law school, Austin worked as a law clerk for the National Football League. He also served as a staff editor of the NYU Journal of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law and President of the Student Lawyer Athletic Program.
