Ahn’s Return Continues Growth of the Firm’s Los Angeles Office
LOS ANGELES, January 10, 2022 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that Chris Ahn has rejoined the Firm as a partner in the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice of its Los Angeles office. Chris started his career at Proskauer as a summer associate and was promoted to partner in 2017. He is rejoining the Firm from James Perse, a global apparel, furniture, furnishings and lifestyle brand based in Los Angeles, where he has served as General Counsel since leaving Proskauer.
“Chris possesses a top-tier skillset that will help us continue to grow our transactional practices, including for private equity clients, and will be a great addition to our team,” said Partner Lauren Boglivi, co-head of the Firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice. “We are thrilled to have him return as we continue to advise clients on high-profile, high-stakes and complex transactions.”
“Having worked with Chris extensively, I could not be happier to welcome him back. He is an amazing attorney who is going to thrive on our platform as we continue to scale both our practice and Firm,” added Partner Daniel Ganitsky, co-head of the Firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice.
Chris has represented clients in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity securities offerings, the formation of joint ventures and strategic partnerships, and corporate and board governance. He has counseled public company clients on an ongoing basis, assisting with the review and preparation of SEC filings, corporate governance, securities law compliance and other corporate matters.
“As the M&A market continues to skyrocket, I am excited to rejoin Proskauer – the Firm that helped launch and foster my legal career,” said Chris. “I look forward to working with my old colleagues, meeting new ones, and leveraging the Firm’s transactional depth and industry experience to counsel clients.”
“We are excited to welcome Chris back,” said Partner Bart Williams, head of Proskauer’s Los Angeles office. “As the Los Angeles market grows and expands, Chris will be a key member of our team as we continue to provide a full-service offering to our clients across a range of industries and practices.”
Chris received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California and his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
