PARIS, April 29 2026 – Proskauer advised Newfund on the final closing of its HEKA fund, dedicated to innovation in BrainTech, bringing the fund’s total size to €60 million.
Patrick Malka, General Partner at Newfund, commented: “Agnès Rossi and her team have been supporting us since 2018 and, over the years, have developed a deep understanding of our strategy and challenges. Their commitment, responsiveness, and expertise have been invaluable, from the structuring through to the final closing of the HEKA fund.”
At the intersection of cutting-edge technologies and neuroscience, HEKA aims to support companies developing solutions in the fields of neurology, psychiatry, and cognitive health. The fund focuses in particular on innovations based on artificial intelligence, digital therapeutics, advanced imaging, and next‑generation biotechnologies, addressing the major challenges related to brain health.
Through this fund, Newfund plans to support approximately 25 start-ups and foster the emergence of European champions on the international stage, notably by facilitating their access to the U.S. market. Since its first closing, HEKA has already invested in several companies, a significant number of which operate in the United States, with initial regulatory milestones already achieved.
The Proskauer team was led by partner Agnès Rossi and included associate Marie Keusch (Private Funds).
