PARIS, October 7, 2026 – Proskauer advised the shareholders of Cairn Partners, an M&A boutique specialising in complex situations, on the sale of the company’s entire share capital to Largillière Finance, a leading small- and mid-cap M&A advisory firm.
Founded in 2016, Cairn Partners is an independent M&A boutique specialising in complex and often critical situations. It supports its clients in mergers and acquisitions and financing advisory matters, combining financial expertise with a nuanced understanding of the issues involved.
The Cairn Partners brand will represent the combined firm’s stressed and distressed advisory offering, under the leadership of Julien Sanier, founding partner, and Maxence Bousquet, partner. The teams will retain their operational autonomy and relocate to Largillière Finance’s offices.
The combination of these two entrepreneurial firms broadens Largillière Finance’s offering and creates an independent small- and mid-cap M&A advisory platform. The combined firm will further strengthen its positioning among entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, investment funds and major corporations.
The platform intends to accelerate investment in sector expertise, artificial intelligence and marketing to better respond to market developments.
The Proskauer team was led by partner Aymeric Robine (Private Equity M&A) and included associate Lou Thauvin (Private Equity M&A) and partner Gwenaël Kropfinger (Tax).
