LONDON, June 9, 2026 – Proskauer is pleased to announce that partner Philip Bowden has been named to Financial News’ Fifty Most Influential Lawyers in Europe list for 2026.
The annual list recognizes leading legal professionals working in Europe. Philip was previously named to the list in 2023 and 2025.
Philip is co-head of Proskauer’s Global Finance practice, head of the Firm’s London Leveraged Finance team and a member of the Firm’s Private Capital industry group. He has more than 30 years of experience advising on complex finance transactions across the European and global markets, including leveraged acquisition finance, structured finance and investment grade event-driven acquisition financings.
Since joining Proskauer in 2024, Philip has played a central role in the continued expansion of the Firm’s global finance platform. Together with U.S.-based partner Justin Breen, Philip co-leads a practice of more than 200 lawyers, bringing together Proskauer’s public and private markets capabilities to advise clients across the full spectrum of finance products.
Philip has also continued to build out Proskauer’s London finance team adding to the continued strategic growth of Proskauer’s Global Finance offering and its commitment to expanding in markets that are critical to our clients. Since 2024, the Firm has welcomed 28 Global Finance partners worldwide, significantly strengthening its expertise in leveraged finance, private credit, structured credit, and fund finance.
