Chris is co-head of Proskauer’s Antitrust Group and head of its Washington, D.C. office. In 2023, Chris won the largest antitrust jury trial of the year, and one of the largest in history, by securing a landmark victory on behalf of Sanderson Farms in a $7 billion antitrust case, successfully defeating claims that Sanderson Farms participated in a supply reduction conspiracy with other producers in the broiler industry between 2008 and 2012. His achievements have earned recognition through numerous accolades, including being named Antitrust Litigator of the Year by Benchmark Litigation in 2025.
Bart serves as chair of the Firm’s Litigation Department and head of its Los Angeles office. A Fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers, Bart has served as lead counsel for numerous Fortune 500 companies in their most challenging and high-profile matters. He is frequently brought in just months or even weeks before trial to secure a win and has a distinguished track record of success. In 2023, Bart obtained a complete defense verdict on behalf of Gilead Sciences in a $3.6 billion antitrust case alleging that Gilead struck an anticompetitive “pay-for-delay” settlement agreement with a leading generic drug manufacturer to resolve a patent invalidity lawsuit for the purpose of delaying the generic’s entry into the relevant market for two of Gilead’s highly successful HIV medications.
