In late April, Proskauer’s in-house tax alumni and current attorneys gathered in the New York office for an evening of giving back, networking, and socializing alongside friends and former colleagues.
Attendees assembled hygiene kits with toiletries and other essential items for Bottomless Closet, a New York City nonprofit that helps women reenter the workforce and build sustainable careers on their journey to self-sufficiency.
“The experience was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we come together as a community and in service of others.”

The event, which drew former colleagues from Ernst & Young, The Lockton Companies, and RBC Capital Markets, among others, also marked the Firm’s initial inclusion of its alumni in FutureReady, a new initiative spearheaded by the Proskauer Impact Committee which focuses on preparing communities for the future of work and education.
“I have been involved with Bottomless Closet for more than eight years,” said Amanda Nussbaum, chair of the Tax Department. “It meant a great deal to bring our alumni together to support a cause that’s both meaningful to me personally, but, more importantly, truly reflects the core Proskauer value of an unwavering commitment to helping others.”
“It was such a pleasure reconnecting with my former tax colleagues at an event that combined networking with meaningful community impact.”
Liz Wytock, Staff Attorney, Lawyers Alliance for New York
The impact of the evening coupled with the opportunity to catch up with other alumni was not lost on attendees.
“It was such a pleasure reconnecting with my former tax colleagues at an event that combined networking with meaningful community impact,” said Liz Wytock, staff attorney at the Lawyers Alliance for New York. “Supporting Bottomless Closet made the evening especially rewarding and fitting given my current role in the nonprofit and pro bono space.”
“It was incredibly meaningful to return to Proskauer’s New York office and partner with fellow tax alumni to support Bottomless Closet,” added Nic Campbell, co-CEO and president of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. “The experience was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we come together as a community and in service of others.”
Proskauer will continue and communicate additional opportunities for its alumni to become active in the FutureReady initiative.
