In mid-May, Proskauer’s Chicago office hosted the third gathering of its informal in-house alumni network at Duck Sel. Building on the momentum of the group’s first two events in November 2024 and June 2025, the dinner brought together alumni — including some new members — for an evening of meaningful conversation, professional connection, and community-building, further strengthening the growing network of Proskauer alumni in the Chicago area.
Attendees spent the evening catching up, sharing personal and professional updates, and reflecting on their experiences at Proskauer and beyond.
“I spent my first 10 years as an attorney in New York, and although I was born and raised in Chicago, I only moved back in June 2025. Reconnecting with Chicago-based alumni who share the Proskauer experience was especially meaningful.”

“The evening was very memorable, and it was great to meet and reconnect with so many Proskauer attorneys,” said Luke Mansour, VP and associate general counsel at the Chicago Bears. “I spent my first 10 years as an attorney in New York, and although I was born and raised in Chicago, I only moved back in June 2025. Reconnecting with Chicago-based alumni who share the Proskauer experience was especially meaningful.”
“Earlier this year during my travels to New York, I attended an in-house alumni dinner hosted by the Firm’s black attorneys,” said Shanice Smith-Banks, senior labor and employment counsel at HERE Technologies. “The opportunity to gather with in-house alumni from Chicago was equally as impactful, especially since I only relocated to Chicago from New Orleans to accept my first in-house role in late 2025. Because I’m still establishing my Chicago professional network, an evening like tonight helped to turbocharge my efforts.”
As more former Proskauer attorneys relocate to Chicago, the partners in our Chicago office are committed to fostering a strong in-house alumni community — creating opportunities to connect, share insights, and support one another’s personal and professional growth.
