Marc Palmer

Marc Palmer is an associate in the Litigation Department and a member of the Patent Law practice and Bankruptcy Litigation group. He has experience with various stages of litigation, including drafting complaints, coordinating discovery, briefing dispositive and discovery motions, preparing witnesses for depositions and trial. Marc has represented clients in litigations in state and federal courts as well as in domestic arbitration proceedings.

Marc has represented leading technology and pharmaceutical companies in high-stakes patent and commercial litigations. He also has experience advising clients on trade secret matters, having helped secure an ex parte seizure order for a leading asset manager against a former employee who misappropriated valuable proprietary trading algorithms. 

Marc has also been part of the team representing the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico (FOMB) in the successful restructuring of Puerto Rico’s unsustainable debt. He has been instrumental in managing the claims reconciliation process for hundreds of thousands of claims totaling trillions of dollars in asserted liabilities. Additionally, Marc has represented FOMB in numerous adversary proceedings and Title III confirmation hearings involving various entities, including the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Employees Retirement System, the Puerto Rico Public Buildings Authority, and the Puerto Rico Highways and Transportation Authority.

In addition to his litigation docket, Marc maintains an active pro bono practice focused on securing benefits for disabled veterans and New York state court reform initiatives.

Marc earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School, where he was an articles editor of the Boston College Law Review. While in law school, he interned at an automotive startup working on intellectual property and technology licensing matters. Prior to law school, Marc worked as a mechanical engineer in the industrial gases industry.
