Lyudmyla Bashynska

Lyudmyla Bashynska is an Antitrust and Foreign Investment associate and a member of the Firm's Private Capital industry group.

Lyudmyla advises on EU and UK competition law, national security and foreign investment screening, with a focus on managing regulatory risk in complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions. Her experience includes merger control, foreign investment approvals, antitrust compliance, and coordinating international clearance strategies for M&A, equity investments, consortium transactions and other private capital transactions. Lyudmyla coordinates the work of Proskauer’s National Security and Foreign Investment practice group.

Her broader competition law experience includes market studies and market investigations, cartel investigations and consumer law matters. Lyudmyla works across a range of sectors, with particular experience in energy, the digital economy, and media, communications and broadcasting services.

Lyudmyla spent nine months on secondment to the Competition and Markets Authority, where she worked in its Policy and International team. She is also an affiliate member of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute.

Prior to joining Proskauer, Lyudmyla was a senior associate in the antitrust, regulatory and trade practice at another leading London law firm.
