Lindsey Tanita

Lindsey Tanita is an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment Law Department and a member of the Employment Litigation & Counseling Groups. She represents employers in wage and hour class and PAGA actions, discrimination and retaliation claims, misclassification disputes, and government actions involving pay equity.

Lindsey represents employers through discovery, motion practice, arbitration, class certification, and appeals. Her experience includes examining witnesses in arbitration, defending depositions in FLSA, PAGA, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and class certification matters, and managing complex written discovery. Lindsey has authored successful motions to compel arbitration, dispositive motions, class certification oppositions, mediation briefs, and an amicus brief before the California Supreme Court.

Lindsey also counsels employers on workplace issues and provides transactional support for handbooks, policies, and settlement agreements. Before entering private practice, Lindsey interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and served as a judicial extern to Judge M. Margaret McKeown of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and to Judge Gonzalo P. Curiel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.

Lindsey earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a Dean’s Honor Scholar and associate editor of the San Diego International Law Journal.
