David M. Weiss is an associate in the Restructuring Group and a member of the Private Credit Restructuring Group. His practices focuses on a wide range of complex restructuring matters, with an emphasis on representing direct lenders and ad hoc creditor groups in both Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings. David also has significant experience representing debtors in Chapter 11 proceedings and advising on the workouts of syndicated and other complex debt instruments.
David earned his bachelor’s degree from Yeshiva University and his J.D. from NYU School of Law, where he worked as a research assistant for Professor Arthur R. Miller and assisted in authoring the 2016 update to Wright & Miller’s Federal Practice and Procedure, the leading treatise on federal civil procedure.
