Cooper Halpern

Cooper Halpern is an associate in the Labor & Employment Law Department, where he represents employers in employment litigation and labor relations matters. He has represented clients across a range of industries, including energy, technology, sports, and healthcare.

His employment practice focuses on litigating discrimination and retaliation claims. He has experience handling all phases of litigation, including drafting dispositive and pretrial motions, managing discovery, preparing witnesses, and supporting trial teams in single-plaintiff matters.

In addition to his litigation practice, Cooper advises on traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, union representation and election proceedings, and labor arbitration. He has experience drafting arbitration briefs and supporting collective bargaining negotiations.

Prior to law school, Cooper was a press-credentialed sports journalist and a collegiate baseball player.
