Chaz Beasley is a Senior Counsel in the Corporate Department and a member of the Structured Credit Group. Beginning his career in the secondary mortgage industry during the 2008–09 financial crisis, Chaz has worked on both the business and legal sides of structured transactions. He now focuses on advising asset managers, issuers, banks, underwriters, and investors on a broad range of transaction types, including rated note issuances, collateralized fund obligations (CFOs), asset-based lending (ABL) facilities, and warehouse and repurchase facilities.
In addition to more than fifteen years of experience in the financial industry, Chaz served as a state representative in the North Carolina legislature for two terms before joining Proskauer.
Chaz earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard, graduating with high honors in Economics, and received his J.D. from Georgetown Law.
His broad experience leading structured finance transactions, combined with his work in developing and implementing financial statutes and regulations, provides him with a unique ability to offer strategic insight to his clients.
