Ana Vermal is a Senior Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department. She focuses on international commercial arbitration. Ana has represented clients from the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia in international arbitrations arising out of a variety of commercial and investment disputes, including:
- an investment dispute against a Middle Eastern government
- construction disputes involving an African government
- disputes between joint venture partners and between shareholders
- disputes relating to international transportation contracts and oil drilling contracts
- disputes relating to mergers & acquisitions
Ana frequently works with the rules of, among other institutions, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the American Arbitration Association’s International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
Ana is based in the Paris office and frequently works from the New York office. Prior to joining Proskauer’s Paris office, Ana was resident in the New York office for four years, where she gained extensive experience in both international arbitration and international litigation. A Spanish and Argentine citizen, Ana is fluent in English, French, Spanish and German.
