June 21, 2017 (NEW YORK) – International law firm Proskauer has been named one of only three finalists for the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s (MCCA) Thomas L. Sager Award in recognition of its mentoring programs, sponsorship initiatives and culture of inclusion.
“We salute this year’s finalists for their leadership, passion and commitment to leading the charge for change,” said Jean Lee, President and CEO of MCCA. “The Sager Award was designed to recognize law firms that champion a more diverse and inclusive workforce. These three law firms are change-makers whose tireless efforts are breaking down the barriers to entry.”
The prestigious Sager Award recognizes Am Law 200 law firms that have gone above and beyond in regards to diversity and inclusion, as well as maintaining a commitment to hire, retain and promote diverse attorneys. First presented in 1999, the award is named after Thomas L. Sager, former DuPont Senior Vice President and General Counsel, a widely respected leader in diversity.
The winner will be announced at the 2017 Diversity Gala on October 4 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
