January 29, 2019 (LOS ANGELES) – Partner Bart Williams has been recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the most influential minority attorneys of the year.
Bart is one of the most sought after trial lawyers in the U.S. and co-chair of the Los Angeles litigation practice. A member of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Bart has compiled an impressive list of victories in jury and bench trials throughout the United States. Most recently, Bart is serving as lead trial counsel for the athletic conference defendants in In re NCAA Athletic Grant-In-Aid Cap Antitrust Litigation. He also led the trial team that secured two key victories for his client Johnson & Johnson in widely publicized product liability trials relating to the company’s talc-based Baby Powder and Shower to Shower products and its alleged link to ovarian cancer.
Bart has also served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Central District of California where he concentrated on complex criminal prosecutions involving allegations of fraud or other business crimes, racketeering and money laundering and obtained convictions in 11 out of 11 jury trials. He received several special commendations during his tenure, including one from the former director of the FBI.
