June 29, 2018 (NEW YORK) – Proskauer is proud to congratulate Ana Vermal, litigation partner and member of the Firm’s International Arbitration Group, for her appointment to the International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) International Court of Arbitration. Ana’s appointment was proposed by President Alexis Mourre and she will serve a three-year term, beginning on July 1, 2018.
At Proskauer, Ana has distinguished herself as a leading lawyer in international arbitration. As a quadrilingual Argentine national who has lived in Germany, Spain, France and the United States, Ana’s cultural experience is paralleled only by her legal work; Ana has skillfully won numerous arbitrations dealing with cross-border transactions in jurisdictions around the globe. Admitted in both Paris and New York, Ana is also frequently appointed as arbitrator by arbitral institutions and parties alike.
Widely regarded as the world’s primary arbitral institution, the ICC International Court of Arbitration aims to resolve international business and commercial disputes, which it has done since its creation in 1923. As a member of the Court, Ana will be entrusted with helping scrutinize draft awards before their issuance and appoint arbitrators in some of the world’s most important and complex arbitration cases. Ana will continue her practice as a litigation partner at Proskauer throughout her term.
