March 12, 2018 (NEW YORK) – Proskauer’s legal recruiting officer Caroline Menes and director of human resources Liz Bernard led a resume writing and interview preparation workshop for 20 women enrolled in a first-step job training program with the Coalition for the Homeless organization.
Liz and Caroline lent their expertise in human resources and shared the dos and don’ts of resume writing and interview preparation, providing advice on how to explain gaps in a resume due to extenuating circumstances, such as incarceration.
The women enrolled in this first-step job training program are either living in homeless shelters or supportive housing and many are single mothers. Coalition for the Homeless helps them build confidence and teaches them skills to re-enter the work force.
