June 2, 2017 (PARIS) – International law firm Proskauer advised automotive Groupe Renault in connection with its planned acquisition of Intel’s French R&D activity specializing in embedded software, connectivity and new services.
Intel’s French R&D teams in this field, representing more than 400 highly qualified employees, hold established software creation and development expertise. They will be bringing to Groupe Renault expertise, advanced methods and tools, plus access to their network of suppliers, laboratories and partner companies. Some teams already have automotive-specific skills in multimedia and connectivity.
Final agreements were executed. Completion of the acquisition should occur in the second half of 2017, subject to customary conditions.
Proskauer advised Renault with a team comprised of partner Delia Spitzer and associates Stéphanie Martinier and Doriane Shannon (Corporate); and partner Yasmine Tarasewicz and international counsel Cédric Jacquelet (Labor & Employment).
