NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, June 21, 2022 – Leading international law firm Proskauer is delighted to announce that partner Sandra Crawshaw-Sparks, Chair of the Firm’s Entertainment, Copyright & Media practice group, has been named Copyright Lawyer of the Year by Euromoney’s 2022 Women in Business Law, Americas Award.

Sandy, who maintains a bi-coastal practice, represents some of the most iconic names in the music business. Her practice includes (among other things): litigating and negotiating recording, publishing, licensing and management contracts; copyright; and trademark infringement and unfair competition claims;  and matters involving the rights of privacy and publicity.

In addition to advising some of Billboard’s top-recording artists, Sandy serves as Deputy National Legal Counsel to the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Inc. (the GRAMMY Award® organization) and is also on the Board of Directors of the GRAMMY Museum’s Entertainment Law Initiative, which promotes discussion and debate about the most compelling legal issues facing the music industry.

Sandy is a member of the Proskauer Women’s Alliance Steering Committee, and a sponsor in and co-chair of its Women’s Sponsorship Program, an initiative where senior partners are selected to serve as advisors and advocates for mid- and senior-level women lawyers.
