July 2, 2018 (BOSTON) – The Firm has been honored with the 2018 Robert B. Fraser Award for Pro Bono Excellence by the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA) of Massachusetts. Accepting the award on the Firm’s behalf, patent litigation partner Steve Bauer spoke about the value of pro bono service for the arts, and the symbiotic relationship between the VLA and Proskauer. “The dedication, energy, and advocacy [Proskauer has] shown for our program make us confident in the future of pro bono legal assistance” wrote James Grace, Executive Director of the VLA.
The Fraser award is presented annually to a law firm that is shown to have a sincere dedication to representing the legal needs of Massachusetts’ artistic community. Over the last three years, the Firm has worked on more than 15 cases with the VLA; these cases have ranged from contractual disputes to nonprofit formations.
