Zachary R. Frimet is an associate in the Corporate Department and is a member of both the Private Credit Group and the Private Credit Restructuring Group. Zachary represents private credit funds, alternative lenders and other credit providers in direct, club and syndicated financing transactions. He also represents private credit investors in connection with restructurings, workouts and other special situations transactions, including DIP and exit financings, acquisitions and sales of distressed assets, deleveraging exchange transactions, bridge financings and rescue financings.
Prior to joining Proskauer, Zachary was an associate at Allen & Overy LLP where he represented leading investment banks and direct lenders in a variety of domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including acquisition financings, leveraged recapitalizations, high yield debt offerings, asset-based financings and financial restructurings.
During law school, Zachary was an intern for the Honorable Judge Stuart M. Bernstein of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and his note entitled, “Reward the Stalking Horse or Preserve the Estate: Determining the Appropriate Standard of Review for Awarding Break-Up Fees in § 363 Sales” was published by the Fordham Journal of Corporate & Financial Law.
