Stephanie J. Kapinos

Stephanie J. Kapinos is an associate in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group of the Corporate Department and a member of the Privacy & Cybersecurity Group. Her practice focuses on matters in technology, intellectual property, privacy and data protection across many fields, including technology, media, entertainment, e-commerce, retail and financial services.

She represents companies in various types of commercial and strategic transactions, including:

  • the drafting and negotiation of complex technology service and license agreements, and
  • technology, intellectual property, privacy and cybersecurity aspects of mergers, acquisitions and financings. 

Stephanie also generally advises clients on privacy and cybersecurity matters, including compliance with state and federal privacy laws and the development and implementation of internal and external-facing policies.

Stephanie is a contributor to Proskauer’s New Media and Technology Law Blog and Proskauer’s Privacy Law Blog.

Stephanie earned her J.D. cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was the managing editor of the Moot Court Honor Society. While at Cardozo, she worked as a legal intern for Michael Kors, the National Hockey League and the National Basketball Association’s Brooklyn Nets.
