As an associate in the Labor & Employment Law Department, Samantha is a rising star in the Employment Law Counseling & Training, Employment Litigation & Arbitration and Wage and Hour Practice Groups. She represents clients from a wide range of industries, including professional sports leagues, financial institutions, universities, staffing companies, and media organizations.
Samantha has extensive experience litigating class and collective actions and appeals, with a focus on wage-and-hour issues, though she also specializes in litigating single-plaintiff discrimination and harassment lawsuits. In addition to attaining numerous successful dismissals on behalf of her clients in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, she has also attained victories on behalf of her clients filed in state and federal court, including a defense verdict in a jury trial in the District of Massachusetts, which was affirmed by the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Samantha also regularly assists clients with sensitive workplace investigations, in developing up-to-date and practical workplace policies, handbooks and diversity initiatives, and in crafting and presenting anti-discrimination and harassment trainings tailored to their particular workforces.
Samantha’s influence extends beyond her work in the law firm, as demonstrated by her commitment to mentoring and promoting women’s and caregiver’s initiatives. Samantha dedicates a significant amount of time to Proskauer’s recruitment and diversity efforts, as well as to mentoring programs at the firm and in the legal community more broadly. Samantha has most recently taken on a committee position with the Boston Bar Association.
