Matthew Triggs

Matthew Triggs is a partner in the Litigation Department and serves as head of that practice in Florida. He is also a member of the firm’s Fiduciary Litigation and Financial Services Groups. Matt has a broad-based commercial litigation practice, representing clients in a wide variety of matters.

With a particular focus on fiduciary and probate litigation, Matt has represented both corporate and individual fiduciaries in a wide variety of probate and trust disputes, including breach of fiduciary duty claims, surcharge actions, removal proceedings, and will contests and trust disputes. He also represents financial institutions in a broad array of commercial matters ranging from contested receivership hearings and contract disputes to commercial foreclosures and FINRA arbitrations.

Matt is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Matt is a past chair of The Florida Bar’s Probate Rules Committee and is actively involved in the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar, where he is a vice chair of the Probate Law and Procedure Committee. Matt is also a prolific author and regularly presents on fiduciary litigation topics.
