Libbie Walker is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Department and a member of the Private Funds Group, where she focuses on advising sponsors of hedge, private equity, venture capital and credit funds.
She counsels both established global investment advisers and emerging managers in all aspects of fund formation, operation and management. She has experience advising fund sponsors on complex restructurings, co-investments, managed accounts, funds-of-one, seeding transactions and internal governance and compensation arrangements. As part of her practice, Libbie also advises fund sponsors on SEC- and CFTC-related regulatory matters. Additionally, she represents institutional investors that are investing in private funds.
Libbie demonstrates her leadership in other ways, as well, as a member of Proskauer’s Women’s Alliance Steering Committee and its Pro Bono Committee. She is also a member of the Northeast Leadership Counsel of American Friends of Tel Aviv University.
