Daniel “DJ” Jeng is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Investment Funds Group. He has a general corporate practice with an emphasis on representing U.S. private investment fund sponsors with fund formations and investments. DJ counsels fund sponsors on regulatory issues and compliance, structuring and day-to-day operational issues.
He also represents secondary investment fund sponsors in the acquisition of portfolio investments on the secondary market and assists fund sponsors in all stages of the secondary transaction process.
Prior to joining Proskauer, DJ practiced as a general corporate lawyer at a Boston law firm. While at Boston University School of Law, DJ served as executive editor of the Review of Banking and Financial Law and interned at the Harvard University endowment and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
In addition to his private funds practice, DJ leads the Asian Lawyer Affinity Group in the Boston office. Maintaining close ties with Boston University School of Law, he regularly serves as a moderator at the Transactional Practice Conference hosted by BU Business Law Society and advises first-year law students through the BU Alumni Mentor Program. He currently is a board member and officer of the Tufts Lawyers Association.
